Saint Petersburg was not only the administrative but also the industrial capital of the Russian Empire. That is why it is also praised for its industrial imperial courtyards, ensembles and even temples. Together we will walk along the Obvodny Canal and appreciate the severe magnificence and scale of these palaces.

At the same time we’ll find out why Petersburg needed twin train stations, who used to serve vodka to the imperial table, how weavers advanced in architecture, why the most grandiose rubber factory in the country turned into a set for war films and much, much more about the exciting mystical industrial district of Saint Petersburg.

The entire tour will be in English. Dn’t worry if your level is around B1 — everything will be easy to follow, and we’ll be happy to help with translations or paraphrasing if needed.
