Last Saturday, we had our first experimental expedition, with Architecture as our main topic. Our next session will be held on August 1st, when we will focus on DESCRIBING APPEARANCE. During the expedition, participants will focus on describing people’s clothing, facial expressions and features, body types, etc. How would you say «на ней лица нет» or «нос картошкой» in English? Let’s find out!

Who: Anyone somewhat actively studying English at level B1 and higher

What: Our goal is to get you learning new terminology out in the wild and practice integrating it into your speech immediately afterwards. Once your workshop facilitators explain the methodology and the group selects the theme of the day, you will set out on a wander around the neighbourhood, in the course of which you will gather vocabulary that is new to you and jot down your observations. The group will then reunite and each participant will share their most intriguing discoveries

When: August 1th, 11am-2pm

With you: A mobile phone with Internet access and optionally a notebook

Experience conducting urban field research
